KSCL Corporate Governance hub is established under the premise of improving governance in many corporations in Uganda and the East African region as a functional arm of KAL Solutions centre limited. KSCL Corporate Governance hub lays emphasis on the main ingredients of good corporate governance. We do not only highlight global experiences about known and predictable causes of corporate failure to fill knowledge gaps, but we take into account the unique business environment of the region and suggest suitable practices for successful corporate investment. It has been suggested that the financial crisis was caused essentially by opportunistic behavior permitted by poor regulation, weak corporate governance and inadequate risk management. The main lesson from the crisis is that there has to be a change in how corporations are regulated in the finance sector, in the adherence to standards of corporate governance, and in the effectiveness of risk management strategies applied or adopted.

KSCL Corporate Governance hub focuses on empowering those charged with the day-to-day corporate management of corporations and all stakeholders through training, consultancy and research work. Our tutorial and advisory services are practical and post-academic geared towards encouraging the efficient use of resources and ensuring accountability.
